Faridabad, India is a place where many residents choose to call their home and for a variety of reasons. Faridabad is one of the larger cities in northern India (over 2 million residents) and it is a leader in both the industrial and agricultural fronts. Through the years Faridabad worked its way through a number of different growths- from its founding in 1607 to its induction as the 12th district in the state of Haryana.

Today, Faridabad District as it is known is split into 5 different divisions among its district and each division is overseen by a district officer. The five divisions are: Faridabad, Ballabgarh, Palwal, Hodal and Hathin.

The District Administration in Faridabad is made up primarily of 7 department heads each with their own specific goal as far as making the city operate within its means. The Mayor of the Municipal Corporation of Faridabad is the head of the city that all decisions pass through. Next in line is the Commissioner who is a just below the mayor in terms of power within Faridabad. The Commissioner works closely with the mayor to make sure the city is run properly.

Then in descending order are: The Deputy Commissioner, Sr. Superintendent of Police, Deputy Conservator of Forests, District and Sessions Judge and the HUDA Administer.

These are the main core of Faridabad, India’s District Administration. These leaders and government heads make sure the city stays on its feet, especially in recent years as the population explosion has left Faridabad greatly expanded in almost every category.
