Faridabad, India is one of the most unique locations in the entire country and has several special geographical features that accompany its way of life. Faridabad is bordered by the Aravalli Hills in the western and southern directions and the Yamuna River to the eastern side.
The Aravalli Hills, also known as the Aravalli Range, run not only through Faridabad but through over 300 miles of Indian land from the northeast to the south west. They rise to over 5600 feet and are well known for their gorgeous views and hiking for the adventurous! The Yamuna River is the dominant river in India as it spans over 1300 kilometers. While Faridabad is benefited greatly by the Yamuna, so are other cities in India such as Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. Most people in Faridabad rely on the Yamuna in order to live. The basic needs of most of the households (cooking, washing, ECT) can be met through the use of the river and it is especially useful in the event of a good monsoon season!
Faridabad used to serve as a one of the greatest places in all of India to enjoy the peace and the natural life that the outdoor world has to offer but since its population growth in the 1990’s it has suffered in total unused land significantly. While Faridabad once was a great landmark for nature, it still has the same look and feel while not the same land.
While most of Faridabad’s population consists of Sikhs and Hindus there are a lot of mixed people groups and religions as well from Singh to Pothi Mala.
