Well, Faridabad has a great location that is set by the Yamuna River and the rocky mountainsides. It has a great geographical set up that enables the military to use the area as a base or center. The Indian Air Force is the primary military branch in Faridabad and they are the fourth largest air force in the world. It was founded in 1932 as the air patrol of India that served and protected the residents. Since its induction the Indian Air Force has become a world leader in the military units around the globe but especially in Faridabad. The Indian Air Force that based itself in Faridabad played a part in World War II, the First Kashmir War, Congo Operation, the Bangladesh Liberation War and many other military operations that India was a part of. The military presence that is felt in all of Faridabad is strong but the city remains well protected due to its military.
